ski-runs are open or closed.
Make sure that you have a plan of the
ski-runs and keep it with you.
Beware of dehydration due to the sun, eat
energizing food as extra effort is needed at high altitudes in the
cold. Avoid sunburn by using protective sun creams.
Choose suitable equipment for your own level
of skiing, make sure it is in good condition and well maintained. Project yourself
by wearing gloves and glasses. Children should always wear ski helmets.
Limber up and warm up : Ski within your
capabilities. Use your energy gradually.
Off piste skiing : it is advised to go
with a professonal or be well informed about the conditions
(avalanche hazard, routes).
Skiing is a sport : to acquire the
technique, take lessons.
On the ski-lifts, respect the regulations
displayed at the start of the ski-lift.
